I would like to get my hands on the technical document that Jeff refers to.

We recently learned that the Housekeeping module function to reorganize
data files was not running as expected (nor could we get the operation to
run). So we created a procedure to do reorganize of data files and reduced
our system storage by around 25%. I think some of the purge procedures
will help us a great deal. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find the
time to do the necessary investigation to establish some purge procedures.
I have really appreciated this discussion.
