        Here is what I seem to understand.  It looks like you NEED to make
sure the date formats from SQL and your program are the same.  I kept
getting date, time, timestamp errors if they were not. (So, I will be
changing the SET OPTION DATFMT = *ISO since I apparently have not used date
fields only timestamp fields.)  
        
        Another thing concerns the host structure.  If you are going to use
MODS, then you MUST like() define the subfields.  I tried many times to
explicitly define each sub field, only to have the pre-compiler bark about
the host structure.  If you host structure is not a MODS then its okay to
explicitly define them.
