Good point.  And it might not be just that your servers are running R6. 
You might have to upgrade your mail file templates to R6.  For example if 
I click on the properties of my mail file, on the design tab, I see that I 
am running an R6 template.
-IF- your servers are running R6
then you can do a File, Database, Replace Design and upgrade the client to 
a newer template.
Caveats:  If your client uses multiple PC's and you have not updated all 
the clients to R6 then wait until you do so, or stop using some of those 
pc's.
If you have multiple Domino servers and the mail file is replicated 
between a few of them and some of them are still running R5 then wait.
