Thank you, Rob. That is precisely one scenario that I am trying to
either confirm or rule out. We are on 7.4 and just last weekend
updated to TR9.

I was actually envisioning that maybe there would be some visible
artifacts from installation, like compiled objects or JAR files or
whatever, that are necessary for heritage Navigator to function; and
that one could check for the existence of those, and if they're
missing, then regardless of PTF group levels, the application is
missing.
