DB2 numeric to date conversion

Hello,

I came up with this in order to convert a 8,0 numeric field to a date that
seems to work. Format is YYYYMMDD so it would be a bit different for most
of you.
Can anyone suggest something to make it easier on the eye? Thanks!

date('0001-01-01') +
(int(myDate/10000) - 1) years +
(int(mod(myDate , 10000)/100) - 1) months +
(mod(mod(myDate , 10000), 100) - 1) days
from myFile
