Probably not much difference. The DC guys will charge you power costs *plus* AC power costs, while your "private" power cost in your house might look more expensive if you leave out AC cost. But then, the DC guys probably get discount on power.

I hope they make a power 10 that's a little smaller these days for when/if I decide to update my hardware. That 41A I have weighs more than my car. haha...

I'm looking forward to a revival of the "portable AS/400". ;-) The biggest hindrance to such a contraption is probably the "souped up for performance" POWER10, and the effort/cost needed to derive a "souped-down" version with much less cooling requirement and thus less space needed for the supporting infrastructure (PSU, fans, etc.). Maybe IBM might consider collaborating with Apple who have been showing for some years that CPU performance and power-hungriness are not necessarily related nowadays. :-) With the current cloud hype, a portable i might not happen at all.
