I am trying
WRKLNK '/QNTC/GDSNT/*'
The working lpar will see the list of shares served up on GDSNT.
The failing lpar will see just
Object link Type
. DDIR
.. DDIR
I am getting
CPDB053-Error exchanging security information for user ROB on network
server GDSNT.
The error class was 1, and the error code was 5.
Class 1 - Network server operating system related error.
1 - Not valid Function.
2 - File not found.
3 - Directory not valid.
4 - Too many files open.
5 - Access denied.
I have two lpars. Both running IBM i 7.3. Both at similar PTF levels.
Both have:
QSECURITY = 50.
QPWDLVL = 3
CFGTCP, 12, Domain name . . . 'DEKKO.COM'
Both using the same user profile to access the server GDSNT. This user
profile has changed their password since any system values were changed.
The password is a combination of mixed case and a number. No special
characters. Identical on all 3 systems.
When someone asks this question about CPDB053 invariably someone will post
this link:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas8N1018525
Which I do not think applies since I am coming from IBM i to PC and not
the other way around, and why would this situation affect one lpar and not
the other.
I looked at a few threads and never did find a resolution.
