Not so fast: IBM specifically cited the LAN console from the old thick
client as not supported on V7R3. That has been in every notice about ACS
I've seen.
"Most" of the other functionality will continue to run since the servers on
the IBM i side are still there and used by ACS, but that begs another
question: Short of I have 1000s of workstations to update, why would you
stick with the old, slow, cumbersome, fat, and generally worn out, and
mostly unsupported client when the new one is superior in so many ways?
Now I will stipulate that there are some user interface issues in the
Navigator for i web based product, but most of the functionality is there
between the ACS client and the web presence.

When IBM deprecated the older IBM I Access for Windows, they said it would
continue to support clients up thru Windows 8.1 and servers up thru 7.3.
That's why I was a bit surprised when Brad said he had to put the latest ACS
(iAccess Client Solutions) on his console when upgrading to IBMi 7.3.
