Just an opinion, but my gut feel is that "business partners" tend to be
bottlenecks in the sales process when it comes to IBM products. That both
IBM and business partners stifle the adoption of IBM i and add-ons in the
market place due to a lack of accessibility to consumers.

I think that both IBM and consumers would be better off if IBM were to
provide web store-fronts and web services back-ends which business partners
could tie into.

Business partner would become ISVs and cloud hosting providers which used
IBM hardware and software for foundation purposes. Consumers would have
better access to their respective products and services.

I believe this platform needs an amazon.com type interface for ordering
hardware and software.
