A while back, Steve Will affirmed continuing support indefinitely. You can
probably search his blog posts. Some feel however that the S/36 environment
is a ball and chain that the platform carries around which thwarts
modernization.

IBM has tried in the past just to remove the capability for the RPG

My 7.2 machine still has
CRTS36DSPF QSYS Create S/36 Display File
CRTS36MNU QSYS Create S/36 Menu
CRTS36MSGF QSYS Create S/36 Message File
CRTS36RPG QSYS Create RPG II Program
CRTS36RPGR QSYS Create Console Display File
CRTS36RPT QSYS Create S/36 RPG II Auto Report

Hello all,
Is anyone aware of any limitations or roadmaps for support
of the S/36 environment on our platform?

Thanks ,Larry
