I was thinking the same thing.

This is getting even more into the category of "Why VIOS?" Since IBM i can
virtualize so well now the only real solid tangible benefit to supporting
yet another OS is virtualization of Tape Library devices and to a lesser
extent Ethernet. IBM i is so much easier, (for us i guys anyway) and there
are few if any real restrictions I can cite except that of the tape library
virtualization. I'll stipulate that with NPIV disk management it a bit
easier since 90% of that is done on the SAN, and that if SAN is the storage
that might be the way to go, but with internal storage, I'm not convinced.

Was it just me or did the whole 520 byte 'switch' parameter description seem
'backwards' in the descriptions?? At one point I'm thinking 'No, I don't
