The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Yeah, I found that over the weekend and tried it, but failed.
The first step is 'launch an xterm shell', which I clicked on the link,
and the first step of that says 'Open a terminal by right-clicking the
background and selecting Terminals > rshterm'
Right click the background of what? I am running the HMC remotely and
there is no 'background' since I am in a browser. I suspect that will
only work if I was actually sitting in front of the HMC and could
minimize the window (which is NOT in a browser).
I am reluctant to have the onsite personnel get into the shell on the
HMC. Even if they could, without messing something up, having them read
the log to me would be a trip in itself.
Pressing on,
Thomas Garvey
