WRKCTLGBRM, refers to a media policy. In our case control group MON_FRI
refers to media policy VIRTUAL
wrkpcybrm *med, refers to a media class. In our case media policy VIRTUAL
refers to media class VRT256K.
ADDMEDBRM will add a particular volume to a particular media class.
Clear?
We save to virtual tape on one lpar in one city. Ftp the virtual tape to
another machine. On that machine we run a DUPMEDBRM from virtual to
physical. Back on the original lpar we can do a WRKOBJBRM and see the
virtual volume, and all physical volumes containing that object and when
it was saved and where the physical volume is now. If you don't want to
write your own ftp I think there's a prpq or consult line option from IBM
to do this.
I did need 5770BR1-1-BRMS-Network Feature
But you won't since you have but one lpar. You can do your DUPMEDBRM's
right there.
