Hi Jeff

I think that, because multiple image catalogs can be loaded, one at a time, to a virtual optical device, that it isn't a simple matter of saying a certain image catalog should be loaded - it'd be a combination of varying on a device and loading that image catalog.

For now, maybe the startup program is the ticket.

But this might be a nice candidate for a requirement - www.common.org - community option on the menu on top, etc.

All,

I swear the last time I looked at the virtual tape image catalog I created,
it was loaded and ready. That was several weeks ago. I looked at it today
and it was not ready, so I had to do a LODIMGCLG.

Does an IPL make it not ready? I did an IPL to apply fixes last Friday
night.

If an IPL resets image catalogs to not ready, is there a way to tell an
image catalog to always go to ready state? Do I need to use the startup
program to do this?

Thanks.
