Yes, MAILTOOL has options for that as well. But, of course, you have to
fill the value in for the reply to address. It defaults to the FROM
address. It doesn't just use the user ID of the job to find the address.

Basically you'll build the MAILTOOL command in your RPG program (and use
QCMDEXC) or in your CL just how you like it and want it to function.

Also, if it's not there, I can put it there in a day or less. :)

All of my software has grown from my original ideas because of customer and
user input. MAILTOOL has been around for over 12 years and has gone
through a lot of upgrades, and still is being upgraded today.

It's certainly NOT just a wrapper for SNDDST or a simple Send Email API
wrapper, especially when the Plus addon is used.

Jeff,

The command itself allows you to use a userid and password on each
command. There's no global setup for it like CHGSMTPA (although you can
use CHGCMDDFT to change the defaults of the parms to act similarily)

How about when an email is generated and sent within an RPG or CL program
and you want the return address to be the email address of whoever is the
user at the time? We have various programs that automatically generate
emails to employees or customers. It would be nice if the return email
address was the actual email address of the user running the program that
generated the email. Unless I misunderstand, it does not sound like
MAILTOOL does that either.
