The command itself allows you to use a userid and password on each
command. There's no global setup for it like CHGSMTPA (although you can
use CHGCMDDFT to change the defaults of the parms to act similarily)

I don't quite follow anything you said there. The original issue, as I
understood, was MSF and SMTP weren't running so emails aren't going out.
I mentioned my MAILTOOL Plus doesn't use MSF or SMTP (or any server jobs)
for sending. So that would solve the original problem.
I never claimed to walk on water. But you should see me bench press.. ;)
