One thing appealing about a virtual tape vs physical tape, (especially in
offsite storage), is remembering Iron Mountain of New Orleans being
underwater and people being unable to get their tapes. One would hope
that a cloud solution would store in multiple sites. While your own
personal local/remote combo VTL may not.
