You had a vice-grip on the SCSI cable didn't you? :-)

I believe you'll also see significant gains when you switch to LTO4 tapes. I've had several happy customers recently as we move to Fiber attach.

Bulk of data is stream file data (improperly called IFS data).
Takes 4 tapes. Tape 1 starts out as *allusr and ends up starting stream
file data.
Tapes 2&3 are flat out all stream file data.
Tape 4 finishes up stream file data.
Using BRMS.
Tape 2 & 3 dropped from 1 hour, 59 minutes and 2 hours, 10 minutes to 1
hour 31 minutes and 1 hour 40 minutes.
