Not true.

I am looking at some MAPICS program that we have and the SRCDATs are
different.

Some dates are:
042989 MMDDYY?
900521 YYMMDD?
111990 MMDDYY again?

These are all in the same Source Member.

But, we are at V4R5, soon to change to V5R4M5, in the near future. New
thread coming up later on this. :-)

Probably for the same reason that the last source changed date (SRCDAT)
field in source files is always kept in YYMMDD format... ;-)
