I don't know if someone has said this yet but trying to use standard
utilities (Client Acess, Cpyfrmimpf) to transfer data from PC files is just
a guaranteed exercise in frustration. Even if you get it working the user
ends up sending some else which screws it up.

I always write an RPG program reading the file from the IFS and doing what
conversion I need to do in the program. Even that is sometimes not enough
but at least I have positive control over what is coming in and how I handle
it.

My opinion only.
