In my experience with the SAME NUMBER of users, and the CPW kicking in intermittently griping, it is not the # of users, but what they are doing.

# of sessions, how efficient the interactive aps, are they running query/400?

You have to capture performance data from a group of users and multiply

You cannot just say x times # of users. The workloads vary too much. For
example, suppose you're in a shop that has options like: Fxx=Process
immediately, Fyy=Submit to batch and everyone does Fxx, then you would
have a different load than a shop that figured out a way to disable Fxx.
Same thing if you did a CHGCMD to disallow RUNQRY to run in an interactive
session.

But, yes, if you do capture the data then there are tools to do
projections.

interactive cpw and max users

How do you calculate how much interactive cpw you would need for a number
of
users?

Is there a link that will help you calculate how much you need?
