What a pile of fecal material!

The DB2/400 database will be seamlessly replaced with Oracle.

Gee, stupid little me didn't realize the Oracle was "not proprietary".
When did it go "open"? I don't know DB2/400 or Oracle very well, but DB2
has most, if not all, of the standard Oracle features.

However, it __will__ stimulate the economy. After all, the company will
likely replace "n" people with at least "1.5*n" people after conversion!

One thing never mention on any of these conversions is the
sort-sequence. At the very least, some reports will change because in
EBCDIC the digits (0..9) sort __after__ alphabetic characters whereas in
ASCII or Unicode, they sort __before__ alphabetic characters. OK, this
is a bit of a "nit", but I've had end users scream about things even
more minor.
