Should work. The only base not covered is DNS/Firewall issues. If these
are all from your LAN, and you have DNS/Firewall issues it won't catch
those. Which is why there are services for this... But, you could also
just do it from your Home PC as well and have that covered. :)

1. Have a program on the iseries check if the server is up (Scotts
Http), if not, send an email and try to start it.

2. On a stand alone computer I have a vb program that does the same.


This way I feel I cover all bases.
