Note: AFaIK the db2 function\utility in qshell exists only to support
some operating system code; i.e. it probably should not be expected to
suffice generally for any SQL statement nor general report writing. I
have not looked for any documentation; there may be a statement of what
should be expected to function and how it should function. If not
documented, then IMO it is best to assume it is effectively unsupported;
albeit I expect that development would likely put some effort into
correcting something that /worked/ previously, but not with priority.

I think (this is a guess on my part based on the page I found) that db2 is
the standard *nix command-line processor for DB2, so I'm pretty comfortable
it will always be available.
