Once I have a monitor started, it normally stays running. I do have to
check the performance monitors on our two busiest systems, since they tend
to shut down every couple of days. I don't know how to autostart them, or
check their status and restart. The monitors on less busy systems seem to
run continuously for a month or longer without attention.
