2. Not that I'm aware of. Rebuilding a disk is rebuilding a disk. The
main thin is you may not want to IPL until it's been replaced.
3. It's to the point I don't even tell anyone if a drive is being
rebuilt. There's no downtime but disk-intensive apps and potentially
overall response time may suffer some if the utilization of the
remaining arms is driven too high.

If you want to do it after hours or kick everyone off, fine. But it's
hardly a requirement.

The basic process is go into Concurrent Maintenance in SST, remove the
failed drive, install the replacement, rebuild disk unit data, wait a
couple of hours.
