I just use the FTP method & then download them. That works every time. I
haven't had any problems since going to that method.

If I use the other methods, it brings our network to its knees.

The only question I have is can I use the INSTPTF command to install a CUME?
I use it for all of the other ptfs but I've never tried it with CUMEs. I of
course would use the *DLYALL option.

Lance - I find there is a great alternative - use the online ordering
site - you can get to it from the same page that you got to fix
central - you order individual or group or cums and you get cds in a
few days - always works

Same here.
I just want to be able to order PTF's, get
them on CD, and apply when I can schedule
down time.
Fix Central works for me about 1 in 4 times and
there is no good work around.

Anyone having problems with Fix Central today? Last night I ordered the
latest V5R4M0 Cume and all went perfectly. While the downloads were
running, I went back and ordered the Groups and I get the following:

Summary
Download incomplete
Your order is incomplete.
java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to download file:
com.ibm.ecc.common.ECCException: TQ_ERROR_CANT_WRITE

Failed to run Fix Central on the selected iSeries.

This was just after I ran Fix Central for the the Cume! Fix Central is
starting to really cheese me off!
