Is this like just a lot of speculation? I am not seeing much at http://www-304.ibm.com/jct01004c/systems/support/i/planning/upgrade/future.html
I am quoting from the Blair Wyman presentation on "the future of java on system i" that I attended last night. ( Blair did a great job - two sessions for the price of one ) In the handout it says V5R5 will support 3 VM implementations: classic VM, 32 bit J9 VM and a 64 bit version of the new ( J9 ) VM. The handout also says V5R5 is the last hurrah for the Classic VM. -Steve
