Don, There is an IBM bulletin, dated 11/18, with several fixes for Management Central, that refer to the 2007 DST changes. The document number for V5R3 is 352613535. Hope this helps. don't put Eclipse or WDSC workspaces in the IFS...
Vern - I didn't... WDSC or an Eclipe has never run on this box. Websphere server never setup. This is old fashioned SEU & RPG II,III,IV. The timestamps on these files indicate they came from cume C6192 ptfs (including hiper & db2 groups) I installed after the V5R4 release. jim ----- Original Message ----- From: "Vernon Hamberg" To: "Midrange Systems Technical Discussion" Sent: Tuesday, November 21, 2006 8:55 AM Subject: Re: SAV with SAVACT(*YES) halted on Eclipse objects
Uffda! All I can say is, don't put Eclipse or WDSC workspaces in the IFS - someone is bound to have WDSC left open on their PC. And this means not to put workspaces on a drive mapped to the IFS, of course. At 07:50 AM 11/21/2006, you wrote:Is there something I need to shut down before SAV? If we are moving IXS installs from existing 2892-002s to new 2892-002s or 2892-001s, it should be very similar to recovering an IXS install, correct? I've tested the recovery many times and it works like a charm. Below is the info from the integration website... from what I can see, the 2892-002s are still marketed, does anyone know anything to the contrary? We will be migrating 2 520s late next year to new i5 520s and each of the 520s has several IXS cards. Integrated xSeries Server(IXS) hot spare: In order to use hot spare between IXS servers, they should be compatible types and they should have a comparable configuration of LAN adapters, etc. The Integrated xSeries server configurations table gives the specific IXS hot spare configurations that are supported. 2892-002 2.0 GHz Xeon? Just last week a coworker was sure that he had a security limitation that was causing him an issue with a canned software package. It did a deletion of a user space and then did a creation. Apparently IBM lumped too damned many possibilities in the message for the deletion of a user space (second level text for CPF2125 indicates that it may either be a security failure, or it did not exist, etc - how stupid can you get?) Now, in this case, IBM got lazy and decided to make it harder to do an appropriate monmsg. Rob Berendt
