Aaron - it depends - you CAN set up a LAN Console or Ops Console -have to choose it in DST I think - I've not done it for a while.

I think I might want to convey what my setup is as that might be my problem.
I have an iSeries in the room next to me and it is connected into D-Link1.
I have my desktop plugged into D-Link2 which is plugged into D-Link1.  I was
planning on configuring my iSeries from my desktop, but now I am wondering
if I need a console connected directly to the machine with a peer-to-peer
network cable.

Thoughts?
