I was one of the early V5R2 adopters and had huge issues with temporary
storage and performance on my 270.  I had days where I would accumulate 80GB
to 100GB of allocated temporary storage.  After 8 months of keeping up with
cum's and hypers, everything evened out.  I typically don't exceed 18GB of
temp allocations now.

Definitely make sure your Hyper's and performance PTF's are up to date.
