Hi Martin >> I thought about that, but then I don't have a full screen editor that I >> know of. Yeah you do, instead of using a PF-DTA use a PF-SRC and SEU to edit the text. You can still read the file data using your print program. Alternatively if the file is not externally described (or if you create a document in the IFS) you can use the EDTF command to edit it - it's not pretty, but... Another option would be to create or edit a text document on your PC and upload it to the 400... I have a 50 row, 132 column form with a lot of static text. Specifying the static text is cumbersome since I can not figure out a way to program the 132 column fields in an easily editable manner. Is there a full screen editor that allows me to display the text as I want it? You guys must have solved this a long time ago. Does this question make sense? --------------------------------- Booth Martin http://www.martinvt.com ---------------------------------
