I suspect the error might be related to RC4 support in _CIPHER being new in V5R1. I'm using a v4r5 machine and have convert it back to fixed format code, but every time the _CIPHER API is called I get an MCH5601 error (Template value invalid). Looking at the documentation for the _CIPHER API, it indicates that for RC4 type encryption this error is generated by the Reserved entry in the KeyInfo structure not being initialised to x'00. -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
