>eServer i offers many, many, benefits over Wintel architectures. But if you cast the battle as browser vs. 5250, I think you'll lose the argument before you ever get the opportunity to discuss any of the iSeries benefits. I was trying to battle browser versus thick client. I know thick client is old news, but I just couldn't imagine that I'd want heads down data entry running in a browser. The enter key means many differnet things in the browser. It doesn't always mean Enter. Although the programmer has control of that. As well as Tab, etc. There really is no value in graphics and video and sound in this type of application. I recently had a customer ask me to number the applications in our windows based "outlook interface" application. He pointed to an app running on his business partners As/400, and he said, "see how easy it is to type in 3/13/27 and get to Proof of Delivery". I laughed until I cried :-) Art
