Hi Tena...we were all newbies once...welcome! Make sure you drop by the Midrange-L table at CUDS Sunday night at COMMON and you'll be able to meet some of the folks that frequent this place. When you mention queue, what exactly do you mean? An output queue? Data queue? MQ queue? Do you want a file transfer? Do you want to access data on the iSeries via Access? The iSeries can certainly accomplish what you want - give us some more detail and we'll be able to help. > -------- Original Message -------- > Subject: Data Transfer Tool > From: "Tena Hewes" <THewes@xxxxxxxxxxx> > Date: Mon, October 11, 2004 2:40 pm > To: "'midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx'" <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> > > Hi All, > I am new to the programming aspect of the AS400 (I will be at COMMON wearing > a "Newbie" sticker which gives me the right, according to my boss, to ask > stupid questions!) and I need a simple but effective way to transfer from an > Access front-end, SQL driven database to an AS400 queue and back again. > I hope I am asking this in the correct forum?
