Job description: 
The Server Group offers a wide range of leading-edge opportunities,
including kernel/chip development, manufacturing test and integration, and
IT support. IBM's entire line of server products meet the needs of our wide
range of customers by providing Web servers through large enterprise
systems, operating system software, middleware, and other IT applications.

Summer coop assignment in the Customer Systems Test organization. The job
activities range from the development of customer-like test scenarios to the
set-up and execution of system-level tests on iSeries , pSeries, and Linux
servers. Responsibilities include implementation of total customer
end-to-end solutions using the latest e-business software and programming
technologies (i.e. Java, WebSphere, DB2, XML, Linux, etc.). Solid
software/hardware/networking skills are required and will be reinforced
throughout the assignment with many hands-on opportunities. Strong teamwork
and communication skills a must, along with self-motivation and
flexibility to react quickly and drive problems to resolution through
Development. Languages: Java, C, C++, HTML - Can perform without assistance.
Has in-depth knowledge. Web Technologies: WebSphere/Web Services - Can
perform with assistance. Has applied knowledge. Debug/problem analysis - Can
perform without assistance. Has in-depth knowl
edge. Linux - Can perform without assistance. Has in-depth knowledge.
Organization - Can perform without assistance. Has in-depth knowledge.
Networking/communications - Can perform with assistance. Has applied
knowledge.
