Yes, it sounds like the model scenario.

a)      Identify the program running behind the menu option.
b)      This is an interactive program? Ensure than there is no route out to
a command line while it is running.
c)      Change the ownership of the program to a profile that has the
necessary authority
d)      Use CHGPGM to amend USRPRF(*OWNER)
e)      You may wish to have additional access control to the program using
an authority list (WRKAUTL)

Hello all,

Firstly, a very happy and safe holiday season to you and yours.

Now, How does one use adopted authority? Here is my scenario:

I have a menu option that calls an interactive program that saves certain
files then a library. The user does not have management rights to certain
objects in the library so she is not able to save the entire library. Is
adopted authority an option in this scenario?
