RE: SndPgmMsg from qtemp/msgfile fails in batch, OK in interactive

Hi Vern, et.al. -

I took his code and created a CL, ran from command line, worked fine,
submitted, failed as described. QTEMP was in library list for batch job.
Tried *CALLER ActGrp, still failed. V5R1, BTW.

Weird!

Did this ever work? Or is this a first time thing?

Objects in QTEMP are deleted when the job ends. I believe the objects are deleted BEFORE the job log is created, so the message file no longer exists when the job log generation needs it.

Put a DSPJOBLOG OUTPUT(*PRINT) in the program and run it in batch and see if the message displays in that joblog properly.
