Bill, DECS (or whatever they're calling it now) will let you link a Domino document to a DB2 file (so the DB2 file is filled with the data in all the documents created by that Domino document). It can be a pain in the neck, but it will work. LEI (or whatever they're calling that now) will give you lots more functionality than DECS, but it costs. There's also third party stuff out there. Take a look at the document in hex - TextPad (www.textpad.com) is a great editor that'll let you do this. See what the field separators are, and records separators. If the structure is easily managed, you could use CPYFRMIMPF, specifying the various separators, and probably get what you want. Otherwise, you could automate things through Excel, possibly called from the 400, with a little macro writing in Excel.
