Good point, Rob.... the old Model T wasn't built for the "open road"... but then again, there really wasn't an "open road" back in those days anyway! My point was just that while the 720 is becoming technically obsolete, it's a long way from becoming functionally obsolete. Jeffrey P. Sure would hate to use one for the 400+ miles I do every other weekend picking up and dropping off my oldest daughter. There are several 7xx machines out there performing just as advertised. In fact, there are plenty of 6xx's too! Don't be too hard on yourself! Jeffrey P. As we talk about the situation with my AS/400 Model 730/2C6F/2068/1510... Is there anyone else who is in the same situation I find our company in? That is, being on a 730 and facing the dilemma of losing the upgrade path to the 8xx boxes as of October 2003? Or is our company the only company that has allowed this to happen? Did everyone else upgrade to 8xx last year?
