That'd be cool. BTW, this is NOT InfoCenter, it's from the support page, and appears to be completely different.

That search string would probably choke any engine. First, there're no CL keywords, right? I tried "physical AND file AND command AND find AND number AND records". It returned a lot of things without much relevance, but it also returned <http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r2/ic2924/info/apis/qusrmbrd.htm>Retrieve Member Description (QUSRMBRD) API. And maybe that link (to something IN InfoCenter) references RTVMBRD, which I think is what you want to see.

But that combination of things still cannot be expected to narrow down your search enough, I believe.

I tried the same string in google - it's results are worse.

Vern

Vern, I hesitate to say anything because I know these folks are working
their butts off to get it right. I am very supportive and appreciative of
what they are doing. Adding in the name change of AS/400 to iSeries has got
to be the straw that broke their logical backs.

But gosh, I wish we could give them a 1/2 dozen real-world examples so they
could test for themselves to see if they are answering real questions. My
choice for a question would be "What's the CL keyword to find the number of
records in a physical file?"
