Bravo, Vernon. Well said. There comes a point when chasin a few spam mails
per month isn't worth the energies.

Subject: Re: *** ADMIN: Spam

As an employee of a small software development company, I find that
reporting "spam" merchants to be a scary proposal, an extreme
over-reaction. I, for one, being a member of this list, have made it _very_
clear to our sales folk, that harvesting this list is frowned on and would
result in bad will. AFAIK, no one here has done this. But other companies
have. We are, many of us, limited in resources. Do you _really_ want to
_punish_ this practice, committed by a fairly small group, distributed to a
fairly small audience? This is _not_ coming from porn merchants, now, is it?

Like any filtering software, anti-spam software either is going to miss a
lot, or is going to cause you to miss something you want to see. The true
control is your DEL key - set up alternate email addresses, if not too
costly. You can't keep it all away. Just like you can't completely
eliminate junk mail in your mailbox, so toss it in the trash.

Regards

Vern
