And that is the WORST thing you can do Eric because that tells them they
DEFINITELY have a legit address...  Unfortunately the losers doing this
stuff always seem to be one step ahead of everyone - the "opt out" deal was
OK at first, but no more unless you are SURE they are a legitimate company
and not a spammer...

There are shareware programs out there that will reply back to these folks
with bogus "invalid address" messages. I've used this and it seems to
actually work OK !

I generally try to reply to the spam and ask to be removed from there
mailing list even if they don't have that option.  Quite often this will get
me nothing more than a second copy of the email but I like to give them the
benefit of the doubt that the got the address legitimately before I report
them.  I only truly get annoyed if they ignore my request to stop which no
legitimate small business person would.
