Details on use of DTAQ with OUTQ are in Chapter 3 of Printer Device
Programming manual. V4R4 version is here at
<http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/pubs/pdfs/as400/V4R4PDF/QB3AUJ03.PDF>

If you use STRQMQRY, you'll be working with spooled file QPQXPRTF. Check
into its width to see what record length to use in the PF you copy to.

One drawback to CPYSPLF is that you lose spacing - blank lines are
suppressed, as are underlines and bolds. But query output doesn't have bold
or underline, and usually doesn't cause any concern over removal of blank
lines.

Sounds like you're getting all kinds of good counsel. Good luck. Am
interested in your findings.
