Sigh, going to be one of those weeks. :(

One of our drives is going south, a 6109 model 040. It's 988MB. Does
anyone have one of these lying around that we could purchase, or at least
pay for shipping?

What other disk options do we have? This is a 9404 model E10 CISC box
running V3R2. Our DASD (3945MB) is at 89% capacity.

The boss is trying to keep expenditures extremely low, as he is expecting to
take possession of another system (at V4R5!!! Yeah!) in the next month or
so. But we *need* this one for now. FWIW, he might even consider just
taking a loaner for a few months.

Anybody know how much longer we've got with this drive? Does the frequency
of message CPP1604 increase as things get worse? The system has, so far,
issued this message twice, the first at 8:30 last night, and then again
early this afternoon.

Feel free to call me at 989-790-0507 if you have suggestions, solutions,
etc. If I'm not here (I'll be out on Monday), please ask for Bill. I will
continue to check my email throughout the weekend.
