We noticed on 2 170s that the disk status was listed as "Degraded". I think this
was thru WRKDSKSTS that was saw this. this was V4R5 C00198 (I think) . IBM
replaced the battery packs that power the ram on the cache for the controller
cards. We had not seen any messages, and it had been that way for quite some
time, although we had not had complaints on performance.
