Ahh, GRTOBJAUT, thanks.

Actually, I just went into the job scheduler and sumbitted
GRTOBJAUT to the file for QPGMR ran as QSECOFR.  It's submitted
to run *once tomorrow morning at 00:00:01.

that way I don't have a program sitting on the AS/400 anywhere
that someone can run.  And tomorrow morning I will delete the
job scheduler entry after it runs.

Hi Jim,

The command you're looking for is GRTOBJAUT. But as you point out, a CL
program using this command would have to adopt authority anyway, so why not
simply have the reorg program adopt it? That's actually safer, because
having a general purpose CL that grants authority to the files means someone
could run just that program, then fiddle with the files, whereas the reorg
program can only reorg the files.
