You test the chgcmd api the same way we did. Start the debugger, set the break points, prompt the command. Granted we put a separate copy of the command in a different library to check. I think exit pgms are an excellent enhancement to the system. Well suited to a task like securing telnet or ftp. But their global nature dont work as well for something like the chgc0100 chg cmd ) exit pgm. If I am using chgc0100 to customize a parm default value, how do I test chgs to such a setup once it is in production? ( I have a similar problem with a server pgm I am writing. In production, the server listens on port 3005 of the ip addr of the system. In test, it listens also on port 3005. ) Steve -----Original Message----- From: Larry Bolhuis <lbolhuis@arbsol.com> To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com <MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com> Date: Friday, August 03, 2001 8:00 AM Subject: Re: exit pgm and lpar >Steve, > > Just as there are separate copies of OS, separate User Profiles, >separate System values, in short another complete iSeries system 'over >there', the exit program will be unique to the LPAR in which it is >installed. > > - Larry > >Steve Richter wrote: >> >> Does an exit pgm apply to all lpar's or are there a different set for each >> lpar? >> >> thanks, >> Steve Richter >+--- >| This is the Midrange System Mailing List! >| To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. >| To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. >| To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. >| Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com >+--- > +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
