For WinNT (4 or 5) you could use cwblogon.exe: To add entries to the Client Access cache: CWBLOGON systemName /u userID /p password systemName - designates the AS/400 system name to store user ID and password information for. /u userID - designates the AS/400 user ID to store in the Client Access password cache. /p password - designates the AS/400 password to associate with the user ID provided. Enclose the password in double quotation marks if it contains embedded blanks. To remove entries from the Client Access cache, use one of the following: CWBLOGON systemName /u userID /c CWBLOGON systemName /c CWBLOGON /c /c - indicates to clear entries from the Client Access password cache. If no user ID is specified, all user ID's will be removed for the system. If no system name is specified, all entries will be removed. It should be in Program Files\IBM\Client Access. I've not played with this for a while. There used to be another program (I think cwbconfig.exe) that you needed to run also, but that doesn't seem to be around anymore. Try searching the CA website for a how-to. hth Pete At 15:20 04/09/2001, Ed Chabot wrote: >Does anyone know how to eliminate the need to enter the password every time >an ODBC connection is started.
