  • Subject: RE: Anyone hosted a web site using IDSL?

The cable companies around here don't offer static IP addresses, so that
option is out.

The price of a T1 around here is $1500 per month. I don't think I'll need
that kind of bandwidth to start. Also, the phone company here says they
can't split a T1.

I'm concerned about the speed if IDSL. To alleviate a bandwidth bottleneck,
I've considered using two (2) IDSL lines - one routed to an AS/400 server
that could handle software demos and customer support applications, the
other routed to a Linux server for file downloads.

Any other suggestions?
